According to a recent documentary broadcast on the History Channel, the rumors about Hangar 18 began with the renowned Roswell UFO Crash. One evening in July of 1947, residents of Roswell, NM witnessed a mysterious object crash from the sky. Immediately, the US Army was sent in to secure the crash site. Initial reports given to the newspapers said that what crashed was a “disk-like” object, however, the next day, the military withdrew their statement saying that the object was really just a weather balloon that had gone down. Sources say that while the media was distracted with so-called “fake debris,” the real crash material was flown to Wright Patterson Air Force Base for further investigation (Hangar 18).

Over the years, there have been may accounts of UFO crashes, sightings and activities related to such being handled by Wright Patterson at Hangar 18. There are even rumors of cryogenic chambers deep underground where alien bodies are stored. More reliable evidence exists from declassified documents and witness testimony that indicate that materials from the Rowell site were, in fact, shipped to Wright Patterson. Some reports indicate that as many as 14 to 16 alien beings may have been shipped to the base. Experts say that if you want to know more about alien beings, Wright Patterson is the place to start.

But why Wright Patterson? The answer is simple. Wright Patterson Air Force Base is “focused on the technology of tomorrow,” according to Installation Commander, Colonel Andrew Weaver. Some of the goals of the base are to identify what kinds of aircraft will we fly in the future, what kinds of weapons we will use and what kinds of materials and technology will we need in order to create them. All of the research, flight tests, purchases and science that goes into the development of new aircraft all happens at Wright Patterson. Knowing this, it would make sense then that any “new” technology be brought there and researched there, right? With Wright Patterson being the hub of air and space intelligence, Colonel Weaver indicates that it makes sense to keep any information related to these “new” technologies classified. And the Air Force certainly isn’t going to confirm if any of this technology is of extraterrestrial origin.
